Clothes For a Tired Mom

Shirt: Target
Jeans: Alloy
Shoes: Target
Bag: Target
Necklace: Kendra Scott

As summer is drawing to an end, I am finding my energy levels really dipping low! I never thought I would be the mom that said she couldn't wait for school to start... But guys, I. can. not. wait. (Granted, I will be working at their school this year so I'll still get to see their sweet faces throughout the day, but their bottle refills and potty trips will be on someone else's to do list.)

With my majorly "meh" attitude, I find myself doing everything in the beauty/fashion department about half way. I've got the makeup on, but my hair is a rat's nest. Wearing heels, but the outfit is all stretchy and black. Just enough to look cute without fooling anyone into thinking I've got my stuff together! ;)

Anyway, these pictures are from a little coffee/play date we had with the kids the other night before dinner. We took them to a near by skate park (that is typically deserted) so Hudson could have a field day with his monster trucks. Definitely something we will be doing again because it was a huge hit with the kids.

As far as the comfort level of this outfit for an overly exhausted mom, these heels are extremely comfy and were on clearance in my local store for under $20. And I may have lived in this stretchy t-shirt for a few days. So, you know... I would go check them out if I were you!

If you girls that are in to beauty and fashion have any tricks on how to look pulled together and cute when you haven't slept in two years, I would love to hear about them! Let me know in the comments. And be sure to subscribe to my blog via Bloglovin!

Hoping you have a happy weekend!

    1. Target is the best. I feel like I have to force myself to look elsewhere for clothes occasionally (like I completely forget about the mall), because target is just soo convenient and cheap and cute!

    1. Honestly, I hate wearing heels. But these were awesome. The straps were soft and not too tight (no blisters) and the platform/thick soles were easier on my arches than a regular pump would be. They were on clearance at my local Target for about $18!

    1. YES! Why is it so much worse in the summer? Maybe because school is out? Or it's so unbelievably hot here? It's like the perfect recipe for laziness in my mind.

    1. Honestly... basically just this. lol. I have to force myself not to wear all black all the time. The only difference might be that I would have washed my hair. lol

    1. Hahaha, well I should say this is me on a really good "tired day". Usually the hair is in a pile on top of my head and I'm wearing slippers and leggings. lol. This was my attempt at getting dressed for a little family date night when I had 0 energy.
